The Sarasota Herald-Tribune revealed the 12 athletes chosen for the 2025 All-Area Wrestling Team for the Sarasota-Manatee High School Sports Awards presented by Sarasota Ford. The winner of the Herald-Tribune Wrestler of the Year will be announced during a live show at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on May 30, where All-Area athletes and the Sarasota-Manatee Athlete of the Year will also be recognized.
The event will honor Athlete of the Week winners, top teams, coaches, overall athletes, and a Courage Award recipient. The Sarasota-Manatee Sports Awards Show is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards program. The All-Area Wrestling Team nominees include Luke Arthur, Milana Borrelli, Jeson Carbajal, Broc Dahlin, Kase Hopper, Matthew Ireland, CJ McCutcheon, Owen Nappi, Massimiliano Pellicano, Seth Ryder, Jayden Shannon, and Jake Wyatt. Voting for the Wrestler of the Year closes on April 24, with live coverage of the awards show available on May 30.
