The 20th Keller-Rich RV Relays featured a cold Friday night event where Upper Sandusky and Colonel Crawford secured the top two spots in the girls team standings among eight competing teams. River Valley placed fourth, Marion Harding fifth, and Pleasant seventh. Marion Harding claimed victory in the 800-meter sprint relay with a time of 1:58.84 and the 4x200 relay in 1:54.24. Additionally, RV's Madalyn Gwinner won the discus event with a throw of 104 feet, 8 inches, and placed second in shot put at 31-7 1/4.
Individually, RV's Finley Blevins triumphed in the pole vault with a height of 10-6. Notable performances included RV's 4x1600 relay finishing second in 23:35.07, the distance medley relay in 11:19.6, the 4x800 relay in 11:35.82, and Marion Harding's 4x100 relay in 53.03. The event also recognized state champion runner Hannah Campbell at the Keller-Rich RV Relays. Other highlights in girls' athletics from the Marion area last week included Pleasant's Breahna Howard transitioning from softball to bowling and the invitation for coaches and statisticians to share their results with the Marion Star's Rob McCurdy.
