Perry High School dominated the 2024-25 All-Federal League swim teams with Sophie Baker named the girls' swimmer of the year and Talan Smith claiming the boys' title. Baker, a senior, achieved notable success as a four-time state qualifier, finishing as the Division I state runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle and placing third in the 100 backstroke. Meanwhile, freshman Smith made a strong debut by winning the 200 freestyle at sectionals and securing second place in the 500 free on his way to the state meet. Jackson's Doug Nist and Hoover's Richard Vaughn were recognized as the boys and girls coaches of the year, respectively.
