Guardian Foundation Repair is seeking votes for the next girls athlete of the week in Knoxville, with eight high school varsity softball players as candidates for the award. The nominees include Brianna Baker from Gibbs, Portlyn Bennett from Heritage, Bella Brummit from Anderson County, Tori Hahn from Alcoa, Makaylie Hutchison from Halls, Gabby Kraatz from Powell, Ava Malone from Grace Christian Academy, and Makenna Wright from Seymour. The candidates showcased notable performances in games played between April 7-12, with standout plays such as home runs, RBIs, and stolen bases.
Some highlights of the candidates' performances include Bennett's two home runs and four RBIs, Brummit's multiple hits and RBIs in various games, and Hahn's perfect 4-for-4 hitting with four RBIs. The voting poll closes at noon on Thursday, allowing the community to participate in selecting the deserving recipient of the Guardian Foundation Repair girls athlete of the week award in Knoxville.
