In the latest Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association poll, Bloom-Carroll, Liberty Union, and Lancaster emerged as top contenders in the state. Bloom-Carroll leads Division III with a perfect 10-0 record, securing wins against strong opponents. Liberty Union, ranked first in Division V, boasts a 9-1 record and strong pitching staff. Lancaster follows closely behind at No. 2 in Division I, with a 6-1 record and notable pitching performances by senior Ashlin Mowery and junior Kyleigh Rohr.
The Bulldogs received six first-place votes, while the Lions garnered three first-place votes. Despite a recent loss to Bloom-Carroll, Liberty Union holds a win over River Valley, ranked fifth in Division IV. All three teams feature talented pitchers, including Maddi Walters and Emma Brandt for Bloom-Carroll, Suzie Shultz, Eden Wilson, and Ryleigh Brown for Liberty Union, and Ashlin Mowery and Kyleigh Rohr for Lancaster. With strong pitching and successful track records, these teams are poised for deep tournament runs, aiming to compete in the final four games at Firestone Stadium in Akron.
