Marseille has reportedly decided to exercise the option to sign Ismael Bennacer permanently from AC Milan for €12m at the end of his loan spell, as per Sky in Switzerland. Bennacer has impressed Marseille's coaching staff, accumulating 61% of Ligue 1 minutes since joining on February 3. The move will result in a significant capital gain for Milan, with Bennacer set to sign with OM until June 2028.
Milan, who acquired Bennacer from Empoli in 2019, are expected to benefit financially from Marseille's decision. Similarly, Juventus is likely to utilize their buy-out option for Pierre Kalulu. The official communication to Milan regarding Bennacer's permanent transfer is expected once Marseille secures a spot in the Champions League qualification race.
