The Coloradoan partners with Blue Federal Credit Union for the weekly Athlete of the Week series, featuring five nominees from Fort Collins-area high schools. Voting takes place every Monday through Wednesday on coloradoan.com/sports, with the winner announced on Thursdays. Fans can nominate athletes by emailing Chris Abshire. Last week's winner was a PSD boys lacrosse player. The current nominees' performances are from April 7-12, with the midway point of April marking the 30th edition of the 2024-25 school year.
