Stars' Tyler Seguin Returns After 58-Game Absence for Playoff Warm-up

The Dallas Stars activated Tyler Seguin from long-term injured reserve for the regular-season finale after he missed 58 games due to hip surgery. The six-time All-Star returned as a game-time decision, aiming to get some game action before the playoffs. Dallas, seeded No. 2 in the Western Conference, will face Colorado in the postseason opener at home.

Seguin, 33, accumulated 20 points in 19 games before his surgery to address a left hip impingement and labrum issue. This marks his 12th season with the Stars, having previously played for the Boston Bruins where he won a Stanley Cup in 2010-11. Seguin had missed most of the 2020-21 season due to a similar hip surgery and knee procedure.
