The Detroit High School Sports Awards program has revealed the player of the year nominees for the winter sports season. The winners will be announced during a live show on June 16 at The Fillmore Detroit, supported by Gift of Life Michigan as a key sponsor. Nominees from fall and spring seasons will also be recognized during the event, with additional information available on the show's website.
The award ceremony will feature premier categories such as boys athlete of the year, girls athlete of the year, boys team of the year, girls team of the year, coach of the year, and the Courage Award recipient. Athletes nominated for the event will receive complimentary tickets upon RSVP, and all other tickets are free, courtesy of Gift of Life Michigan. The Detroit High School Sports Awards is affiliated with the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards program.
