Brent Dietz, a Connecticut transplant playing out of Windy Harbor, secured victory in the 68th JAGA Senior Amateur at Marsh Landing by birdieing the 18th hole on April 12. Dietz, a former Connecticut Mid-Amateur and Public Links champion, clinched the win over David Anthony with a score of 3-over-par 219, besting Anthony by two shots. Ken Moody and Tim Cobb tied for third at 10-over, while John Felice won the Super Senior division.
In other golf news, the University of North Florida women's golf team finished seventh in the ASUN Tournament, marking their lowest position since 2013. Sophomore Kaitlyn Schroeder led the team with a tied sixth-place finish at 9-over.
