Scottie Scheffler, the defending champion of the RBC Heritage, has created a signature burger named "Scottie Style" that is now available at Fraser's Tavern in Sea Pines Resort. This new tradition, introduced in its second year, aims to connect each year's defending champion with the dining guests at the tavern. The burger, priced at $19.95, consists of a blend of rib, brisket, and chuck for the patty, a sesame bun, crispy bacon, pepper jack cheese, fried jalapenos, onion straws, and Old Bay aioli, reflecting Scheffler's Texas-inspired taste buds.
Since its introduction, over 4,400 "defending champion burgers" have been served at Fraser's Tavern, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the tournament charity. Scheffler received his custom burger at the end of his pre-tournament press conference, expressing his hunger and enjoying the burger after taking a big bite. This initiative follows the trend set by previous RBC Heritage champ Matt Fitzpatrick, who also designed a custom burger for the event.
