16-Year-Old Golf Prodigy Miles Russell Continues Streak of Under-Par Rounds in Korn Ferry Tournament

Miles Russell, a 16-year-old golfer from Jacksonville Beach, has maintained a streak of five consecutive under-par rounds in the Korn Ferry Tour's LECOM Suncoast Classic. Despite this feat, he sits tied for 84th after shooting a 1-under 70 on April 16 at the Lakewood National Commander Course in Lakewood Ranch. To secure his second consecutive cut in the event, Russell needs to improve on April 17, with the cutline starting the day at 2-under.

Last year, Russell made history by becoming the youngest player ever to make the cut at a Korn Ferry Tour event. He tied for 20th with a total score of 14-under 270 and earned a spot in the subsequent Veritex Bank Championship. Russell's consistent performance has also led to him being the youngest player on record to finish among the top 25 in either the Korn Ferry Tour or PGA Tour, with an impressive average of 68.0 over five rounds at Lakewood National. Despite participating in PGA Tour events like the Rocket Mortgage Classic and the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, Russell missed the cut in both instances. Currently, he holds the top ranking in the American Junior Golf Association.
