Former Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava is currently seeking a new school after deciding to enter the NCAA transfer portal. He left Tennessee following his absence from the team's final spring practice and Orange & White Game. Tulane, as confirmed by Pete Nakos of On3, has opted not to pursue Iamaleava, marking the end of their recruitment efforts for him. Previously, North Carolina also chose not to pursue the 6-foot-6, 220-pound quarterback. During his time at Tennessee, Iamaleava played in 18 games, completing 241-of-379 passing attempts for 2,930 yards, 21 touchdowns, and five interceptions, while also rushing for 435 yards and scoring six touchdowns on 129 attempts. Originally from Warren High School in Downey, California, Iamaleava's future in college football remains uncertain as the NCAA transfer portal reopens for student-athletes to explore new opportunities until April 25.
