Former Lawton-Chiles High School standout running back Tre'avis Jones has decided to transfer to the Florida A&M football program from Coffeyville Community College in Kansas. In 2024, Jones recorded 511 rushing yards and four touchdowns in eight games for Coffeyville, helping them secure the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference title. As the 2022 All-Big Bend Offensive Player of the Year, Jones had an impressive high school career with 1,497 yards and 17 touchdowns in his final season at Chiles.

Standing at 5-foot-9 and 195 pounds, Jones brings speed and agility to FAMU's backfield, joining a roster that includes leading rusher Thad Franklin Jr. and Bo Summersett. His former Coffeyville teammate, Trenterius Lovett, an offensive lineman, has also committed to FAMU. The Rattlers recently concluded their spring football camp and are gearing up for the season opener against the Howard Bison at Hard Rock Stadium on August 30, followed by Jones' homecoming game at Bragg Memorial Stadium on September 13 against the Albany State Golden Rams.
