Former New England Patriots tight end Don Hasselbeck passed away at the age of 70. Hasselbeck, a Super Bowl champion during his nine-year career, was also known as the father of two NFL quarterbacks. His son, Matt, confirmed that he died from cardiac arrest at home. Hasselbeck was drafted by the Patriots in 1977 and spent six seasons with the team, leading in catches in 1981. He later played for the Los Angeles Raiders and the New York Giants before retiring in 1985. Hasselbeck finished his career with 107 catches, 1,542 yards, and 18 touchdowns in 123 regular season games. His sons, Matt and Tim, also pursued NFL careers as quarterbacks.
