Former Purdue quarterback Ryan Browne is set to visit West Lafayette after transferring to North Carolina earlier this off-season. Browne, who had appeared in eight games for Purdue last season, is considering a return to the Boilermakers after going through spring practice with the Tar Heels. With Browne potentially rejoining the team, he could provide additional competition at the quarterback position for offensive coordinator Josh Henson, alongside Malachi Singleton, EJ Colson, Bennett Meredith, and Evans Chuba.
Browne's departure from Purdue to North Carolina saw him securing first team reps in Bill Belichick's offense. In his time with the Boilermakers, Browne accumulated 532 passing yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions, along with 155 rushing yards. The visit to West Lafayette signals a possible reunion with the Purdue football program as they seek to solidify their quarterback options for the upcoming season.
