Oklahoma State football recently gained its fourth transfer commitment with the addition of Appalachian State left tackle Markell Samuel. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound super-senior, originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, brings experience and versatility to the Cowboys' offensive line. Starting as a defensive lineman in 2020, Samuel transitioned to left tackle in 2023 and solidified his position there for the 2024 season, accumulating over 1,400 career snaps.
With a significant turnover in the offensive line, Samuel's veteran presence and playing history offer stability and competition to OSU's rebuilding unit. As a graduate transfer, Samuel joins the Cowboys amidst a transitional period, aiming to establish himself within the team and contribute to its upcoming season. His arrival in June is anticipated to bolster Oklahoma State's offensive line and enhance their competitiveness in the upcoming games.
