Michigan athletics has secured a new flagship radio station for its primary sports through a multi-year broadcast agreement with WCSX-FM (94.7). The partnership between Learfield’s Michigan Sports Properties and Beasley Media Group Detroit will see WCSX-FM become the official radio home for Michigan football, men’s basketball, and ice hockey games starting from the 2025 football season. The agreement includes broadcasting coaches’ shows and exclusive ancillary programming.

Doug Karsch and Jon Jansen will continue as the play-by-play and color commentator voices for Michigan football. In addition to WCSX-FM, WMGC-FM (105.1 The Bounce) will broadcast select women’s basketball regular-season and postseason games. Beasley Media Group Vice President Kevin Rich expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the strong connection between the University of Michigan and its passionate fan base in Southeast Michigan.

Warde Manuel's chief of staff, Doug Gnodtke, highlighted the collaboration with Beasley Media Group as a significant step for Michigan athletics in enhancing fan engagement and amplifying the voices of student-athletes and coaches. The new radio partnership aims to strengthen ties with fans and alumni in both metro Detroit and throughout Michigan.
