Manchester City's Mary Fowler sustained an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury during the first half of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United. The Australian international, aged 22, had to be substituted in the 25th minute of the match, which Manchester City lost 2-0. The injury assessment confirmed the ACL rupture, requiring Fowler to undergo a nine-month rehabilitation process.
