Gabonese forward Aaron Boupendza, aged 28, tragically passed away after falling from the 11th floor of a building in China, as confirmed by the Gabonese Football Federation (FEGAFOOT). Boupendza had recently joined Zhejiang FC and had showcased good form, scoring four goals in six matches. He had previously played for FC Cincinnati in MLS, contributing to the team's success in the Eastern Conference and Supporters' Shield.
FEGAFOOT highlighted Boupendza's impact as a striker at the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon in 2022 and noted his training at CF Mounana and Bordeaux in France before transitioning to the Chinese league.
