Former Georgia Bulldog wide receiver commit Ny Carr has entered the transfer portal after spending one season at Miami. Originally committed to Georgia from July 2022 to September 2023, Carr later switched to the Miami Hurricanes in October 2023 and officially signed with them in December 2023.
Despite being a highly regarded recruit in the class of 2024, Carr's freshman season at Miami did not meet expectations. He made just one catch for eight yards in four regular-season games and also appeared in Miami's bowl game. Carr, a 6-foot, 175-pound receiver known for his route running skills, still has four seasons of eligibility remaining.
Ranked as the No. 98 recruit in the 2024 class, Carr is anticipated to be a sought-after player in the transfer portal due to his potential. While it is unlikely that Georgia will pursue Carr given their current wide receiver roster, head coach Kirby Smart keeps his options open. Smart remains optimistic about Georgia's receiving corps, emphasizing the importance of player development and health as they progress towards the upcoming season.
