OU football has officially signed former Cal running back Jaydn Ott, who entered the transfer portal after a successful junior season with 385 yards and four touchdowns. Ott, known for his standout performance in his freshman and sophomore years at Cal, joins the Sooners with one season of eligibility remaining. The addition of Ott adds depth to OU's running back roster, which already includes talented players like Jovantae Barnes, Xavier Robinson, Gavin Sawchuk, and Taylor Tatum.
In the midst of adding new talent, OU also welcomed former Stanford offensive lineman Jake Maikkula. The Sooners aim to strengthen their lineup under coach Brent Venables, with the recent addition of Ott and Washington State quarterback John Mateer during the winter portal. As the spring portal window remains open until April 25, the Sooners are actively making moves to enhance their team for the upcoming seasons.
