Four-time Super Bowl champion Lynn Swann, a Hall of Famer and iconic Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, is set to announce the team's pick at the 2025 NFL Draft. Swann's notable Super Bowl performance in 1976 against the Dallas Cowboys solidified his place in NFL history.
Insider Adam Schefter revealed that Swann is among the select group of former and active players chosen to announce their teams' selections during the second and third rounds of the draft. The Steelers are one of just three teams to have a Hall of Famer announce their pick, adding prestige to the event for Pittsburgh fans.
Due to a previous trade that sent their second-round pick to the Seahawks, Swann will announce the Steelers' 83rd overall pick in the third round. The 2025 NFL Draft will commence on Thursday, April 17, with Swann scheduled to announce the Steelers' pick on Friday, April 18, during the second- and third-round selections.
