England's Ex-Assistant Manager Sacked by Japanese Club - Shocking Details!

Former England assistant manager Steve Holland has been sacked by Yokohama F. Marinos, replacing Harry Kewell as manager. Holland's tenure lasted only four months, during which he won just one of 11 league games, leading to his dismissal with the club ranking 19th in the J-League. Yokohama F. Marinos announced that head coach Patrick Kisnorbo will step in as interim manager following Holland's departure.

Holland, who previously served as Gareth Southgate's assistant with the England national team, experienced limited success at Yokohama F. Marinos before his exit. The 54-year-old's removal precedes important fixtures against Urawa Reds in the league and Al-Nassr in the Asian Champions League quarter-finals. The Marinos, a club under the City Football Group umbrella alongside Manchester City and other teams, have not secured a league title since 2022 despite finishing ninth last season.
