Colorado State football has seen its first departures during the 2025 spring transfer portal season. The transfer portal opened on April 16 and will close on April 25, preceding the team's spring game scheduled for April 26. Several players have already made their entrance into the portal, including Dylan Goffney, a receiver with one season of eligibility left who redshirted in 2024 due to health reasons. Goffney, a former SMU player, recorded 29 catches for 355 yards and two touchdowns in his time at CSU.
Additionally, punter Will Hutchison, who joined the Rams as a walk-on in 2023 but did not play in any games, has also entered the portal. Long snapper Jake Dennis, who spent the 2022 season at Butler Community College before becoming CSU's long snapper, announced his decision to transfer with one season of eligibility remaining. These early departures mark the beginning of roster changes for Colorado State football as they navigate the transfer portal season.
