The University of Colorado has announced the retirement of jersey numbers for Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. Sanders' No. 2 and Hunter's No. 12 will be honored as "officially untouchable" during the upcoming Spring Game at Folsom Field, joining four other Colorado players with retired numbers.

Hunter, a versatile player excelling at cornerback and wide receiver, was awarded the Heisman Trophy in 2024. He concluded his tenure at Colorado with impressive stats, including 153 receptions for 1,989 yards and 21 touchdowns as a receiver, and notable defensive contributions with seven interceptions, 16 pass breakups, and a forced fumble. On the other hand, Sanders showcased his skills with 7,364 passing yards, 64 touchdowns, and 8 rushing scores during his two seasons at Boulder.

The retirement of Sanders' and Hunter's jersey numbers adds them to the esteemed list of honored players at Colorado, including Rashaan Salaam, Byron White, Joe Romig, and Bobby Anderson.
