Chattanooga defensive end Chris Victor has committed to transferring to the University of California, becoming the first addition for the Cal Bears this spring. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 235 pounds, Victor made his decision after a visit to Berkeley, where he will address the team's need for outside linebacker depth following key departures.
Victor, a graduate transfer from Jacksonville, Florida, had an impressive 2024 season with Chattanooga, tallying 54 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks. His addition bolsters the Bears' defense as they look to fill the void left by outgoing players Xavier Carlton and David Reese. With the spring transfer window open until April 25, Cal aims to strengthen its roster further after adding 19 scholarship transfers during the winter.
