The Cleveland Browns signed defensive end Julian Okwara on Monday for undisclosed terms. Okwara, entering his sixth season in 2025, previously played for the Arizona Cardinals, recording 18 tackles and one sack in 13 games last season. Selected by the Detroit Lions in the third round of the 2020 draft from Notre Dame, his standout year was in 2021 with 27 tackles and five sacks. Okwara is the Browns' second defensive lineman acquisition in free agency, alongside Joe Tryon-Shoyinka.
Looking ahead, Cleveland may further bolster its defensive line through the upcoming NFL draft, with Penn State's Abdul Carter a potential target with the second overall pick.
