The Denver Broncos have been evaluating the top speedsters in the upcoming 2025 NFL draft. Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston, known for his exceptional hip fluidity and speed, recently visited the Broncos as part of their pre-draft assessments. Hairston, standing at 5-11 and 183 pounds, recorded an impressive 4.28-second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, making him the fastest player in the draft class. Alongside Hairston, Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden, who ran a 4.29-second 40-yard dash, was also hosted by the Broncos for a pre-draft visit.
Hairston's college career highlights include earning second-team All-SEC honors in 2023 and showcasing his playmaking abilities with six interceptions, including three returned for touchdowns. Despite missing some games due to a shoulder injury last season, Hairston is considered a top prospect and is projected to be a first-round pick in the upcoming draft. The Broncos, holding the 20th overall pick in the first round among their seven selections, are actively scouting talent to bolster their roster for the upcoming season. The 2025 NFL draft is scheduled to take place in Wisconsin from April 24-26.
