Wisconsin wide receiver Quincy Burroughs has entered the transfer portal, making him the third Badger offensive skill player to do so this spring. Burroughs, a 6-foot-3 pass-catcher from Jacksonville, Florida, transferred to Wisconsin in 2022 after one year at Cincinnati. In his time with the Badgers, he saw limited on-field action, accumulating five receptions for 43 yards and five special teams tackles.
Burroughs' decision to transfer comes as Wisconsin looks to address depth concerns at the wide receiver position following the departure of other players like Mark Hamper. The team is also seeking a replacement for starting left tackle Kevin Heywood, who suffered an ACL injury during spring practice. With the spring transfer window open until April 25, it remains to be seen if more Badgers will follow Burroughs in seeking new opportunities elsewhere.
