Wisconsin redshirt freshman offensive lineman Derek Jensen has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Jensen, a former three-star recruit from Hartland, Wisconsin, was the Badgers' top in-state commit in the class of 2024. He redshirted in his freshman year and now has four years of eligibility remaining.
Jensen is one of four Wisconsin players to enter the transfer portal this spring, alongside tight end Tanner Koziol and wide receivers Mark Hamper and Quincy Burroughs. With starting left tackle Kevin Heywood sidelined due to an ACL injury, the offensive line is a key area of concern for the team. The program is yet to secure a transfer at the left tackle position following Heywood's injury, making it a priority during the current transfer window.
