Junior linebacker Hudson Miller, a key contributor for Purdue football last season, has announced his decision to enter the transfer portal after three seasons with the team. Miller, who initially joined the Boilermakers as a preferred walk-on in 2022 from Cathedral (Ind.), became a starter under defensive coordinator Ryan Walters in the previous season. In his starting role, Miller recorded 42 total tackles, one tackle for loss, and 0.5 sacks on defense, while also excelling on special teams.
Purdue has made significant changes to its linebacker unit in the current off-season, adding transfers Mani Powell from UNLV, Alex Singleton, and Carson Dean from Arkansas, as well as Sanders Ellis from Tennessee State. Despite these additions, linebacker Hudson Miller has opted to enter the transfer portal along with walk-ons Logan Jellison and Landon Drennan, marking a shift in the team's roster composition as they prepare for the upcoming season.
