Purdue senior defensive tackle Mo Omonode has announced his entry into the NCAA Transfer Portal. Omonode, a former three-star recruit from West Lafayette High School, accumulated 32 total tackles, six tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks in 33 career games with the Boilermakers. He held a 71.6 Pro Football Focus grade last season, ranking him as the fourth highest-rated defender in Purdue's rotation.
Despite not participating in spring practice due to a back injury, Omonode remained committed through a coaching change but now seeks a new destination for his final year of eligibility. Purdue has been active in the portal, securing Marcus Moore Jr. from Akron/Bowling Green while pursuing transfers Ian Jeffries and De'Marion Thomas. The Boilermakers are set to field a defensive tackle lineup featuring Moore Jr., TJ Lindsey, Jamarius Dinkins, Jamarrion Harkless, Demeco Kennedy, and Drake Carlson for the upcoming season, with potential additions in the pipeline.
