This incident occurred after Quetta's loss to Lahore Qalandars, with Tariq returning figures of 1-31 in his four overs. The Pakistan Cricket Board stated that Tariq can continue bowling in future PSL matches, but risks suspension if reported again, necessitating clearance from an ICC-accredited lab.
This is not the first time Tariq has faced scrutiny for his bowling action. He was previously reported during a match against Karachi Kings last year, prompting Quetta to withdraw him voluntarily for a bowling test. Following clearance from an ICC-accredited lab in Lahore last August, Tariq was permitted to compete in domestic tournaments without incident.
