Ryan Brown, a Worcester native and former Assabet Valley boys' basketball coach, has been named the new men's basketball coach at Quinsigamond Community College. During his tenure at Assabet Valley, Brown transformed the team from a two-victory squad to a Division 4 state tournament qualifier that won 18 games in the past season. He emphasized the importance of hard work and commitment to his players, leaving a lasting impact on the team.
In addition to coaching, Brown founded the Go Hard or Stay Home (GHOSH) basketball program, focusing on mentorship, tutoring, and community engagement. The program has mentored hundreds of local children in both basketball skills and life lessons. Brown's dedication to youth development extends beyond the basketball court, as he aims to guide his players both on and off the court, emphasizing personal growth and academic success. With a background in overcoming hearing loss and excelling in academics and sports, Brown is committed to inspiring and empowering his players at Quinsigamond Community College to reach their full potential.
