Indiana basketball has added Tayton Conerway, the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and former Troy guard, to their roster. Standing at 6-foot-3, Conerway showcased strong performances in scoring, steals, and assists during his time in the Sun Belt Conference. With experience from two junior colleges and two seasons at Troy, he brings a versatile skill set to the Hoosiers.
In the 2024-25 season at Troy, Conerway averaged 14.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.9 steals, demonstrating his ability to contribute across multiple facets of the game. As a point guard alongside Conor Enright for Indiana in the upcoming season, Conerway's driving abilities, defensive prowess, and rebounding skills are highlighted, despite his limited 3-point shooting proficiency. With one year of eligibility remaining, Conerway adds depth and experience to the Hoosiers' lineup for the 2025-26 season.
