Mahanoy Area’s senior guard Jace Yedsena signed with Susquehanna University for college basketball and will study Business there. Yedsena expressed his excitement, feeling at home at Susquehanna, where he aims to spend the next four years. Susquehanna University competes in the Landmark Conference of NCAA Division III and achieved a 15-12 record last season. Yedsena played a significant role in Mahanoy Area's success, contributing to an 83-25 record during his four years as the starting guard. He marked his senior season by surpassing 1,000 points and earning accolades in the Republican Herald's boys basketball all-area team. Styka praised Yedsena's impact on the team and acknowledged the challenge of filling his shoes on and off the court. Yedsena fulfilled his childhood dream of playing college basketball, cherishing the memories created at Mahanoy Area while anticipating his new journey with Susquehanna.
