Xavier University recently secured a commitment from Isaiah Walker, a former standout player at Wyoming High School. Walker, with one year of eligibility left, joins Xavier as their ninth addition from the NCAA transfer portal, contributing to a top 25-ranked recruiting class. Previously at Belmont in Nashville, Walker started in 56 of 66 games over the past two seasons, averaging 10.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.

During his time at Wyoming High, Walker became the school's all-time leading scorer and received accolades such as first-team All-Ohio selection and District Player of the Year. He was recognized as a three-star recruit and ranked 13th overall in Ohio for the Class of 2021 by 247Sports. Notably, Walker's father, Tyrice Walker, was a former Xavier player, contributing to NCAA Tournament teams in the early 1990s under coach Pete Gillen. Tyrice Walker was honored as the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association Mr. Ohio Basketball in 1991.
