Clemson secured a commitment from former Utah forward Jake Wahlin, a 6-foot-10 sophomore with two years of eligibility left. Wahlin averaged 6.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, shooting 35 percent from beyond the arc in 33 appearances for Utah last season. He chose Clemson over Virginia after entering the transfer portal on March 14.
Wahlin is the fifth player Clemson has added from the transfer portal and the fourth frontcourt addition, joining Nick Davidson, Carter Welling, and RJ Godfrey. The Tigers also recently acquired guard Efrem Johnson from UAB. Wahlin expressed excitement about joining head coach Brad Brownell’s team, stating, "Can't wait to get to Tiger town."
