Former SEC guard De’Shayne Montgomery has announced his transfer to the University of Dayton, with two years of eligibility remaining. Montgomery played his freshman season at Mount St. Mary's and last year at Georgia, averaging over six points, two rebounds, and one steal per game. He missed the first nine games of the season due to academic requirements. Dayton had a 23-11 record last season and reached the Second Round of the 2025 NIT, while Montgomery's last game with Georgia was a first-round NCAA Tournament loss to Gonzaga on March 20.
