Former Kentucky women's basketball standout Georgia Amoore was selected as the sixth overall pick by the Washington Mystics in the 2025 WNBA Draft, marking the first time a Wildcats player has been drafted in the last three years. During her final season at UK, the fifth-year senior achieved career-high averages of 19.6 points and 6.9 assists per game, setting various program records including single-season assists, 3-pointers made, and points scored in a game.
Amoore's impressive collegiate career also includes scoring 2,460 points and providing 869 assists, placing her in an elite category alongside Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu as the only Division I players to exceed 2,300 points and 800 assists. Previously with Virginia Tech, Amoore holds 10 school records and ranks among the top three for games started and career points, becoming the first Hokie to achieve a triple-double and contributing to the team's 2023 Final Four appearance.
