Former five-star forward Daimion Collins, previously with LSU, signed with Kentucky out of high school and is now set to join South Florida under new coach Bryan Hodgson. Collins, ranked #19 in the 2021 class, entered the transfer portal seeking to realize his potential after dealing with a dislocated shoulder that limited his playing time during the 2023-24 season.
During his final year at LSU, Collins posted solid statistics, averaging 8.0 points, shooting 58.2% from the field, and tallying 1.6 blocks per game in approximately 20 minutes per game. In a standout performance against Oklahoma, he scored 22 points in 23 minutes and blocked four shots, showcasing his skills before fouling out in a close 82-79 victory for the Tigers. Hodgson is looking to integrate Collins as a key contributor in his inaugural season at South Florida, capitalizing on the forward's potential and talent on the court.
