Florida basketball sophomore point guard Kajus Kublickas has decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal, marking the program's initial departure in this manner. Kublickas, a 6-foot-2-inch player from Lithuania, arrived as an unranked recruit and has had limited playing time during his time with the Gators. Over two seasons, he appeared in a total of 15 games, contributing 11 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and a steal in 60 minutes of play.
Despite a national championship win with Florida, Kublickas primarily sat on the bench under coach Todd Golden. His sparse on-court appearances included only two made field goals out of seven attempts, with a notable 87.5% free-throw shooting accuracy. Prior to his collegiate stint, Kublickas showcased his skills in Lithuania's Zalgiris II team, achieving success in both domestic and international competitions. His decision to transfer opens new opportunities for his basketball career beyond the Gators.
