New McAlester varsity boys basketball coach, Lou Dawkins, is enthusiastic about bringing his structure, discipline, and family philosophy to the team. Dawkins, who previously coached boys basketball in Muskogee, was recently announced as the new coach at a McAlester Public Schools board meeting. With prior experience playing and coaching at Saginaw High School, Dawkins aims to make a positive impact on the McAlester basketball program.
