The University of Wisconsin athletic board recently approved contract extensions for five winter sports coaches. Greg Gard, the men's basketball coach, had his five-year agreement extended through May 31, 2030. Similarly, swimming and diving coach Yuri Suguiyama, men’s hockey coach Mike Hastings, women’s hockey coach Mark Johnson, and wrestling coach Chris Bono also received five-year extensions through various dates in 2030. These contract extensions were all anticipated decisions by the university.
