Alabama Crimson Tide guard Zaay Green was selected as the No. 32 overall pick in the third round of the 2025 WNBA draft by the Washington Mystics. Green joins teammates Sarah Ashlee Barker and Aaliyah Nye as the third Alabama player selected in the draft. Barker was chosen No. 9 overall by the Los Angeles Sparks, while Nye was picked at No. 13 by the Las Vegas Aces.
Green, who transferred to Alabama from Tennessee prior to the 2024-25 season, had a standout season, averaging 15.7 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game in 33 starts. She also maintained shooting percentages of 46.7% from the field, 36.1% from three-point range, and 65.4% at the free-throw line.
