Fairhaven’s Aidan Smith won the Baseball Player of the Week poll with over 8,000 votes (48%), following an impressive performance including a home run in his first varsity at-bat and a 3-for-4 game with an RBI and stolen base. The Preseason Baseball Player of the Year poll winner was Wareham’s John Varden. Weekly highlights of top high school baseball performances will be featured throughout the regular season, with voting closing on April 20 at 8 p.m.
Noteworthy recent performances include Butler going 4-for-7 with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs over two games, Tremblay’s 3-for-4 outing with a double, and Zuber’s strong pitching display alongside a 1-for-3 hitting performance. Additional standout players include Burt’s 5-for-7 showing with 5 RBIs, Cardoza’s pitching dominance allowing only 1 earned run in 6 innings, and daCosta’s combined 4-for-7 hitting and solid pitching effort.
