Cincinnati Reds prospect Carlos Jorge collided with the outfield wall while making a catch during the Dayton Dragons' game against the Fort Wayne TinCaps. Jorge, a 21-year-old outfielder, was carted off the field with an undisclosed injury after the incident in the 6th inning.
Ranked 21st among the Reds' top prospects by MLB Pipeline, Jorge was promoted to High-A Dayton from Low-A Daytona in 2023. His previous season with the Dragons saw him bat .220 with 12 home runs and 28 stolen bases. Signed by the Reds from the Dominican Republic in 2021, Jorge showcased his skills with impressive offensive and defensive performances in the minor leagues.
