Clayton Kershaw started his rehab journey with the Oklahoma City Comets in a game against the Tacoma Rainiers. After his last appearance for the Dodgers on Aug. 30, Kershaw threw three scoreless innings, allowing two hits with no walks and two strikeouts. The left-hander was placed on the 60-day disabled list at the beginning of the season due to a left meniscus tear and a toe problem, with an expected return date to the majors set for May 17.

Kershaw, who missed the start of last season due to shoulder surgery, returned to pitch on July 25 and finished with a 2-2 record, a 4.50 ERA, and a 1.500 WHIP over seven starts. Throughout his 17-year career with the Dodgers, Kershaw has accumulated a 212-94 record, a 2.50 ERA, and a 1.010 WHIP. As a three-time Cy Young Award winner and the 2014 NL MVP, he holds the highest WAR (76.5) among all Dodgers players and the best WHIP among starting pitchers in the franchise's history.
