The Knoxville Smokies began their return to Covenant Health Park on April 15 with fireworks during the national anthem and a 10-minute show after games. The team's 27 fireworks nights for the 2025 season, a franchise record, include displays following opening week games and limited to weekends thereafter. The July 4 fireworks may become a new tradition for the city.
The stadium, home to the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, will also host various themed nights throughout the season, including pro wrestling, dueling pianos, and Harry Potter nights. The Smokies will honor the historic Knoxville Giants with special uniforms and in-stadium beer. Covenant Health Park will offer a variety of events beyond baseball, such as One Knoxville SC games, concerts, and private gatherings, with year-round access to the concourse and nearby businesses.
